Tri tip and berry cobbler(allow 10-15 min cook time for some desserts) were our top picks! Lots of regulars and friendly staff.
Still the same great meal as we tried 6 months ago for the first time. Must admit beef brisket is the way to go compared to the Tri-tip. You can definitely notice the difference in the tenderness of the cut of the beef.
Honestly one of the best BBQ places here in the Bay Area. One thing I love is how reasonable the prices are. Places usually charge up to $30 or more for these plates. Also, I love how welcoming the staff here are. It feels like they just want you to feel comfortable and have a great time eating some BBQ. All of the meat had great smokey flavors and were so tender. Each of these combo plates comes with two sides, so I got myself the mac & cheese and the potato salad. Both sides tasted amazing and paired well with the meats. You also have a choice of regular bread or garlic bread. Just a suggestion, go with the garlic bread!!!
Best bbq in the area! I love coming here to sit in the outdoor space with our dog to grab a bite and chill. There's heaters outside so it's not an issue even when you come during the colder months. Their brisket is really juicy and the chicken is super tender. I was really impressed with this place the last time I visited. The sides are great as well. Their beer selection both on draft and cans are amazing and go perfect with the food.
This place never disappoints! I got the three-meat combo with ribs, tri-tip, and brisket, plus baked beans and coleslaw, and everything was spot on. The meat was smoky, tender, and packed with flavor, and the sides were fresh and tasty. Sabina is always so nice and helpful every time I come in--her friendly attitude really makes the experience even better. If you're looking for solid BBQ and great service, this is the spot. Definitely worth a visit!
We brought our relatives from out of town to come and check out American barbecue. It was amazing because we were checking out there smoker out in the back and the chef offered to let us in and take a closer look at what was going on inside the smoker, it was super kind of him and our cousin who is from Australia. Had a great time checking it out. The food was amazing. We got a sample platter of all sorts. We bought the ribs the brisket, the sausages and I think the pulled pork for our sides. We got the coleslaw and the mac & cheese and I don't even eat mac & cheese but I actually enjoyed the mac & cheese here. It was more on the creamy side rather than the cheesy side and I think I actually prefer that we came here after a 49ers game and there were so many fans. Also enjoying barbecue outside. It was a nice warm afternoon and I love that they had seating inside and outside.
You definitely can't miss this place if you're driving by. Super cute outdoor vibes, inside is not that big but definitely has enough tables to sit and grub. We ordered a bunch of items to try so let's get started. **Ratings** @ BBQ half chicken is huge, juicy and has a great smoky taste 9/10 @ Kids BBQ ribs plate, ribs are not that meaty but tasty 8/10 @ Brisket, best meat I had here. (Falls apart and it's not dry) 9.5/10 @ tri tip, super juicy and cooked very very well 9/10 @ hot link, 6/10 @ pulled BBQ pork sandwich (has a lot of meat) 9/10 @ potato salad 8/10 @ mac & cheese (Alfredo sauce vibes) 8/10 @ corn bread (good flavor but dry) 7/10 @ baked beans 8/10 @ coleslaw (not mayo based) 5/10 Overall it's a sold 4.50 stars, they also have good customer service. See pics for reference.
The food was impeccable and the cashier was nice and efficient. I also liked the fall decorations, they give the place a homey and welcoming vibe
Pretty solid spot for BBQ in the South Bay. They have everything you'd expect and want to see on on a BBQ menu, a good amount of local beers on draft, and a great outdoor patio. We ordered just about all of their meats so that we could try as much as possible. We got the 3 meat plate with pulled pork, brisket, and tri tip, a half rack of pork ribs, and the mac n cheese topped with the smoked chicken. My personal favorite was the tri tip, and my mom enjoyed the ribs. I found the brisket to have a lot of fat and the pork to be a little dry, but throw some bbq sauce on the pork and it wasn't as noticeable. The bbq plate also came with this tangy vinegar sauce that had a little kick to it and was quite tasty, I enjoyed that even more than the bbq sauce. For sides we tried the potato salad, mac n cheese, and beans, all good options. We also tried both the garlic and cornbread, neither was a standout, but both a fine choice. The service was really great! Even though it was counter service for ordering and pickup, the young guy helping us was super friendly and helpful. He offered me a beer sample while I was picking what to order before I was even able to ask!
